 From the Mississipi Delta, Appalachian Mountains and Bourbon Street into steamy tropical Singapore, the Lower Delta String Band is a throwback to the early era of American folk genres such as blues, ragtime, New Orleans jazz and bluegrass. Their repertoire includes the songs of Stanley Brothers, John Hartford, Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, Ray Charles, Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Jimmy Reed, Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, Rev Gary Davis, Blind Blake as well as some originals drawing from these influences.
