Dawn Wong & The Ark Royal

Mandarin Jazz

The Ark Royal, a band founded by singer-songwriter Dawn Wong and jazz composer Felix Phang, released the first original contemporary Mandarin jazz album of its kind in their home country of Singapore in 2016. Tinged with childlike wonder and whimsy, the album ‘Marco Lopo’ was launched with a concert presented by Singapore’s landmark arts centre - the Esplanade - as part of Huayi Chinese Festival of the Arts 2016.
